How we work

At Lemon Berry, we are committed to providing exceptional products, treatments, and customer service.  These policies are designed to ensure a pleasant experience for all clients while protecting the interests of both our clients and our business. 

Appointments & Arrival    
- Appointments are essential and allow us to dedicate the time and attention you deserve.
- To ensure every guest enjoys a relaxing and unrushed experience, we kindly ask that you arrive on time for your appointment.  
- Late arrivals may result in a shortened treatment time to avoid inconveniencing other clients. Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late may be required to reschedule their appointment or may forfeit their booking entirely, depending on the nature of the treatment and the availability of the technician or therapist.
- While we do not charge cancellation fees, we kindly request a minimum of 24 hours' notice should you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.  This enables us to offer the appointment time to another client.
- Repeated late arrivals, missed appointments, or short-notice cancellations may result in future bookings being declined or restricted at our discretion. 

Children & Additional Guests  
- To maintain a calm and relaxing environment for all clients, we kindly request that only clients receiving treatments attend appointments unless prior arrangements have been made.
- Children must be supervised at all times.
- For safety reasons, children may not accompany clients into treatment areas unless they are receiving a treatment themselves. 

Our Nail Care Promise 
We take pride in the quality of our work.  If your nails chip, lift, or show any signs of fault due to our application, you're welcome to book a nail repair within 7 days of your initial visit, and we'll gladly repair them at no cost. Please note that refunds are not available for completed services, as services are based on time, expertise, and professional skill. Nail breakages caused by accidents, trauma, nail biting, excessive force, improper aftercare, occupational activities, sports, or other outside factors are not covered under this guarantee. However, repairs are available at a nominal cost to keep your nails looking their best. Our technicians are happy to provide guidance and recommendations when selecting colours and designs. However, the final choice rests with the client.  As colour preferences are subjective, a change of mind regarding a chosen colour, shape, length, style, or design is considered a new treatment and not a repair. 

Foreign Product Disclaimer 
While we are happy to work with clients who have existing nail enhancements or products applied elsewhere, Lemon Berry cannot guarantee the performance, durability, compatibility, or outcome of services performed over products applied by another salon or technician.Where possible, we may recommend removal of the existing product before proceeding with a new application.  Any lifting, cracking, chipping, discolouration, product incompatibility, or service failure related to pre-existing products will not be covered under our Nail Care Promise. 

Health, Hygiene & Safety 
The health and safety of our clients and team are of utmost importance. For this reason, Lemon Berry reserves the right to refuse, postpone, or modify any treatment where there are signs of: Nail fungus or suspected fungal infections, Contagious skin conditions, Open wounds, cuts, abrasions, or infections, Warts in treatment areas, Head lice or other parasites, Any condition that may pose a risk to the client, technician, therapist, or other guestsWhere appropriate, clients may be asked to seek medical clearance before treatment can proceed. 

Treatment Consultation & Health Disclosure 
Clients are responsible for providing accurate and complete information regarding any medical conditions, allergies, sensitivities, medications, injuries, pregnancy, skin conditions, or other factors that may affect their treatment. Failure to disclose relevant information may affect treatment outcomes and may result in a treatment being modified, postponed, or declined. Lemon Berry reserves the right to refuse or discontinue a treatment where it is considered unsafe or unsuitable for the client. 

Treatment Disclaimer 
Although every reasonable care is taken in providing treatments and using professional products, individual reactions may occur. Should you experience irritation, redness, discomfort, swelling, sensitivity, or any adverse reaction following a treatment, please discontinue use of any related products immediately and consult your general practitioner, dermatologist, or other qualified healthcare professional without delay. To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, Lemon Berry shall not be liable for any loss, injury, damage, allergic reaction, sensitivity, or adverse outcome arising from: Undisclosed medical conditions, allergies, or sensitivities; Failure to follow aftercare instructions; Misuse of products; Pre-existing conditions; Services performed over products applied elsewhere; or Circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in this policy excludes any rights afforded to consumers under applicable South African consumer protection legislation. 

Product Policy 
Lemon Berry products are handcrafted in small batches to maintain freshness, consistency, and quality control. Due to hygiene and product safety considerations, products may not be returned or exchanged unless they are defective, damaged, incorrectly supplied, or otherwise eligible for return under applicable South African consumer protection laws. If you believe a product is defective, please contact us within 7 (seven) days of purchase and provide proof of purchase together with details of the issue.  We will assess the matter and, where appropriate, offer a replacement, repair, refund, or other remedy as required by law. Customers are encouraged to review ingredient listings carefully prior to purchase and use.  As individual sensitivities may occur, discontinue use immediately if irritation develops and seek medical advice if symptoms persist. 

Gift Vouchers & Promotions 
Gift vouchers are non-refundable and may not be redeemed for cash.Promotional offers, discounts, packages, and special pricing cannot be combined unless specifically stated otherwise and may be withdrawn or amended without prior notice. 

Client Conduct & Right to Refuse Service
Lemon Berry is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for both clients and staff. We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate a treatment, or decline future bookings where a client:Behaves in an abusive, threatening, aggressive, discriminatory, or inappropriate manner; Is under the influence of alcohol or drugs to the extent that treatment cannot be safely performed; Harasses, intimidates, or disrespects staff or other clients; Repeatedly disregards salon policies, appointment requirements, or professional recommendations. In such circumstances, any treatment already commenced may be stopped immediately. 

Personal Belongings 
Clients are responsible for their personal belongings while visiting the salon.  Lemon Berry cannot accept responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal items brought onto the premises. 

Photography & Marketing 
From time to time, photographs of treatments, nails, products, or salon activities may be taken for marketing purposes.  No identifiable photographs of clients will be published without prior consent. Clients who do not wish to be photographed are welcome to inform their technician or therapist. 

Locations 
Lemon Berry proudly operates from two locations for your convenience: Florida Park Branch (Roodepoort) – Offers our full range of beauty, wellness, and nail treatments. Linden Branch (Randburg) – A dedicated nail bar offering manicures, pedicures, gel services, acrylic enhancements, and nail art. Please ensure that you book your treatment at the appropriate branch.  If you're unsure which location is best suited to your booking, our team will be happy to assist. 

Acceptance of These Policies
